Taylor Swift covers Australia’s Harper Bazaar!

“I don’t have security to make myself look cool, or like I have an entourage. I have security because there’s a file of stalkers who want to take me home and chain me to a pipe in their basement.”
- Taylor Swift to Vogue Magazine

Take a look at Taylor Swift on the February 2012 Vogue cover.
She has such a classic face - this is the perfect styling for her. Love it!

Taylor Swift may be gracing the cover of Vogue’s February issue.
Taylor appeared in Vogue in 2008 with this beautiful photo. I’m excited if this happens what direction they’ll style her in.
How do you think they’ll style Taylor if the rumour is true?

Taylor Swift picked up three awards last night including the top award for Artist of the Year at the 2011 American Music Awards. As always looking good!
Taylor Swift & Shania Twain tape a pre-recorded opening parody of the movie “Thelma & Louise” for the 2011 CMT Music Awards.
Last night was The Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala which honoured late & brilliant designer Alexander McQueen.
Let’s start by saying this, The Met is all about coming out in something different & something that makes people think. This is fashion. The Met isn’t another Oscars or Golden Globes, or at least I don’t see it that way.
Anyone who wore something safe, or tried to just be ‘pretty’ is on my shit list - and there were a lot of them.
(Usually, I’d comment on a lot of looks but as work is super busy, i’ll just be showing two of my favourites and two of my least favourites.)
Here are my two BEST looks of the night:
Ginnifer Goodwin

Firstly, the colour! The green is just beautiful. The haircut is perfect for her face & is styled just right along with the make-up. The hint of navy with the shoes (which are great) and the bag just help to set this look apart from the rest.
Christina Ricci

I’m probably going to get a bit of flack for picking Christina Ricci as one of my best dressed stars. You know what? She went out there and did something different, something very dramatic and it works.
She understands anyone can put on a classic shimmery dress and look pretty but she went outside the box. She looks like something straight out of a Tim Burton movie & I adored it.
The only thing I would have done different is the hair. It should have been dyed to match the dark in her dress.
HONERABLE MENTIONS:
Taylor Swift

Jennifer Lopez

Here are my two WORST looks of the night:
Rihanna

I’m usually all about Rihanna’s off the wall style, fashion choices and even her wigs & weaves. This just DOES NOT WORK.
The dress is boring. The make-up is too heavy and the hair, oh man that hair! It’s just unflattering, looks stupidly fake & makes this look a big mess. Rihanna, you rocked The Met a few years ago in your menswear inspired look, what happened.
Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart has a great body, I wish she would show it off more.
This dress was not so bad from the back (if you haven’t seen it, google it!) but I just don’t love the design, pattern or cut from the front. I really want Kristen to get herself into fashion. She could have a long future ahead of her in Hollywood but this sulking, tired, old look isn’t going to help.
DISHONERABLE MENTIONS:
Beyonce

Christina Hendricks

Taylor Swift - “Back to December”
Her new video. It’s a little out of sync but she looks gorgeous as usual.
Kanye West is still feeling the heat from the Taylor Swift incident. Here he is getting boo’ed at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
I realize this was a long time ago, but Kanye’s still a dick.
Your actions have consequences, no matter how rich you are. I bet he was PISSED.
Taylor Swift smells like trees? According to David Letterman she does.
I’ve met her a few times, I didn’t smell it.
I’ll have to try to sniff harder next week.

The magazine says:
“People like to fixate on Taylor Swift’s youth, as if to say, yeah, she’s pretty good for her age. But that just begs a question: Where are all the older people who are supposedly making better pop records than Taylor Swift? There aren’t any. In a mere four years, the 20-year-old Nashville firecracker has put her name on three dozen or so of the smartest songs released by anyone in pop, rock or country.”
They go on to say:
“Swift’s third album, Speak Now, is roughly twice as good as 2008’s Fearless, which was roughly twice as good as her 2006 debut.”
I just go the album on my desk today. I’ll have to give it a listen.
What do you think of Taylor’s latest effort? Do you agree with Rolling Stone?
